James E. Woolen, President/CEO

James (Jim) Woolen is the President and CEO of Nationwide Guard Services, Inc. His employment with Nationwide began in 1999 as a Security Officer in Southern California, and slowly progressed to Supervisor, Sales, Scheduler, Vice President and finally to his current position of President and CEO. Jim graduated in 2005 from Arizona State University, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications. While attending ASU, Jim’s interests drew him into politics and started his career working for United States Senator John McCain as a Constituent Liaison. Shortly after Senator McCain’s run at the Presidency of the United Stated, Jim decided to move back to California and pursue his interests in the security industry, specifically with NGS. Within the first year of obtaining an executive position with Nationwide, Jim implemented various strategic processes to improve on Nationwide’s customer service, efficiency, value and bottom line. These improved processes directly lead to increased customer satisfaction, thus improving revenue and retention of quality officers and staff. Jim is a “customer-first” executive, with the mindset of always doing what it takes to acquire and retain business, while not forgetting the basics and making sure all employees are treated with the utmost respect.

Mari Bennett, Director of Business Development

Mari Bennett came to Nationwide Guard Services with over 20 years of experience in Business Development. Throughout Mari’s career, she has focused on the needs of the client and making their security plan unique and successful to their business.

Educated in Behavioral Sciences, from Northwest University in Washington, Mari went on to co-found a non-profit in the greater Seattle area helping under privileged and broken families. Her main role was donor relations and compliance. From there, Mari went on to become the President of North American Sales of SunFX USA in San Diego where she managed over 40 distributors and a sales staff throughout North America and the Caribbean.

After joining Nationwide, the company has continued to see growth. Her priority is putting customer satisfaction first while partnering as an extension of your business. She keeps her team of officers both accountable and passionate for their career at Nationwide while taking her client’s success personally. Dedicated to continual improvement and measuring that with the quality of services provided, Mari is an integral part of the Nationwide team, and continues to work diligently at bringing success to her clients through honesty and transparency.

Enrique Rosado, Operations Manager

  • Mr. Rosado Served our country by serving with The United States Army as a Combat Engineer for 8 years. After an Honorable Discharge, he joined The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. He patrolled the streets of south central Los Angeles where he was assigned duties like Station Detective, Field Training Officer and Gang enforcement deputy. Mr. Rosado was then assigned to The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Dept. Major Violators Narcotics crew where he served as Senior Narcotics Investigator.
  • After 20 years of service, Mr. Rosado retired from the Sheriff’s Department and started his second career in the private security Industry. This new venture began in Puerto Rico where he was the lead supervisor with a private security and investigations company. Mr. Rosado then moved back to California and worked with two other security companies before ultimately finding a home with Nationwide Guard Services where he serves as the General Manager of the company. Mr. Rosado has a background in private investigations, executive protection and is currently completing his degree in Homeland security with a concentration in counter terrorism.

Valerie Rayfield, Director of Human resources

Valerie Rayfield is a supportive and essential part of the Nationwide Guard Services team. As the head of Human Resources, Ms. Rayfield has utilized her skills previously attained in property management, and patient care coordination to maintain an organized and structured Human Resources department for Nationwide Guard Services.

Ms. Rayfield has a genuine desire for the successful careers of Nationwide Guard Services security officers as well as maintaining 100% client satisfaction. Ms. Rayfield values those who demonstrate intellect, respect, integrity, cooperation and commitment therefore works closely with security officers as well as field supervisors to achieve the desired standards. The daily objective of Ms. Rayfield is to ensure the services provided by Nationwide Guard Services security officers are not only to effectively deter criminal activity, but are to exhibit efficiency and professionalism at all times.

Ms. Rayfield has found her niche as part of the Nationwide Guard Services team as she truly enjoys partaking in the many components of providing safety and security which ultimately results in creating a better community.

Johnathan Sullivan, Scheduling Manager

With over 15 years of experience in the Security Industry, Johnathan came to Nationwide Guard Services in 2011. With his vast field experience with multiple companies large and small, he worked up the ranks from Security Officer, Post Commander, Human Resources Coordinator and later to Field Supervisor. When Johnathan was brought on to the Nationwide Guard Services staff in February of 2011, he was assigned as a Field Supervisor overseeing more than 100 officers per shift. Shortly after taking on the Field Supervisor role with Nationwide, he was promoted to Captain of Supervision, in which he was looked upon to ensure fellow supervisors were trained, knowledgeable and able to conduct field supervision effectively and efficiently. He was then promoted to Scheduling Manager in 2017, where he is solely in charge of all scheduling of Officers out in the field.

Veronica Kemp, Administration

Veronica Kemp is the Administrative Assistant for the Nationwide Guard Services Corporate Office.

In this position, Veronica provides administrative assistance for the President, Director of Marketing, Operations Manager, Human Resources, and Scheduling Dept. She serves as the primary contact for our external Supervisors, Leads, Officers, and Clients alike.

Veronica joined Nationwide Guard Services in October 2016, after serving as an administrative assistant for various companies and industries throughout Southern California. Veronica has over 20 years of experience in office support and customer service.
